由时代建筑杂志社和思班机构主办，陈展辉和戴春共同策划的“建筑之外”巡回展，关注建筑创作的未来发展和建筑文化的推广、跨界整合等议题，探讨以展览为线索，开拓建筑与其他相关领域交流合作的可能性。
开幕展于2013年12月21日在北京今日美术馆一号馆举行，2014年1月18日上海展在CBC建筑师艺术中心开幕，同时也举办了“建筑之外”专题研讨会。
陈旭东受邀代表德默营造以概念家具作品"葵凳"参展，并参加论坛和活动。

Initiated by Time + Architecture magazine and S.P.A.M.; curated by DAI Chun and CHEN Zhanhui , travelling exhibition ‘Beyond Architecture’ focuses on themes involving the future evolution of architectural innovation; interdisciplinary and interfaces; exploration through exhibiting as key; emerging architecture potentials and other possibilities of collaborative exchanges within the artistic and creative industries.
The initial opening was held at Beijing Today Art Museum on 21st December 2013, and the Shanghai opening was at the CBC Art Centre on 18th January 2014.
CHEN Xudong was invited to represent DAtrans Architectural Office, showcasing ‘Sunflower Stool’ concept furniture, as well as participating in public exchanges and events in the forum.
