Four cabins on “Le Balcon”
“阳台”上的四个房间

环境戏剧一种全新的戏剧表演和空间理念，试图打破传统的观演两者之间的对立关系，代以一种参与性的互动关系。根据剧情我们专门为戏剧《上阳台》设计了四个由半透的阳光板围合的盒子。在剧场空间中，它们泛出的微微的乳白色光芒，看似随意漂浮，彼此独立，但又相互吸引。当观众步入剧场，瞬间激发起探寻盒子内部空间的强烈愿望。随着演出的进行，演员、在场艺术家和观众一起游走在盒子的四周以及内部，在被压缩或拉长，亦或相互交错的时空里，共同体历一场感官的盛宴。

环境剧场的复合特征与不可预见性，对四个盒子的结构构造和制作工艺提出了挑战：不但要轻且便于运输，同时又要具有一定结构强度。最终的设计，盒子的结构由6厘米见方的钢管插接锚固而成，方便拆装；内外表皮材料选用了重量轻巧并达到室内防火要求的阳光板，透明和半透明的两层阳光板，不但使LED照明从下部均匀漫射至整个表面，也使拓印在上面的热内诗句若隐若现；同时设计和制作团队在理解材料特性的基础上，内外表皮都按照600的模数来制作，实现了创造性的构造细节，使模块之间达到了细腻而又逻辑化的连接效果。

Environmental Theatre is a new concept of performance and space design, which try to explore an interactive relationship between the audience and the actors. According to the absurd script of “Le Balcon” by French author Jean Gene, four theme cabins, covered with translucent polycarbonate panel, shinning with slight light, floating freely was composed to define the dynamic space. As soon as the audience entered the theater, the illuminated boxes motivated them to explore the internal space. As the performance are on going, the actors, artists and audiences, all of them wandered around the boxes and experience the total sense’s adventure．

The complex characteristics and unpredictability of Environmental Theatre challenged the structural principle and manufacturing techniques, since the cabins should not only be light and easily fabricated, but also gain the certain structural strength. The pre-fabricated structure is built by 6cm square steel tube. Both of the internal and outer skin’s layers are in accordance with the modular of 600mm. The polycarbonate panel as the outer skin had the proper lightness and matches the serious fire code. The ideal solution for the construction’s details, developed by the support of the fabrication’s team, shows the characteristics of the material and the logic connection between the modular. The double layers from the transparent and translucent plates not only realized the diffusion of the LED lighting from the bottom to the surface, but also illuminated the lines by Jean Gene slightly.
