上帝在柏拉图眼中是个工匠。在建造还未开始的初始阶段，图纸和模型由双手得以制作，模拟出头脑中所理解的真实几何形式。如果大工业时代手工业已走向凋敝，那么它面临数字时代它是否能再次凤凰涅磐？数字制造的浪潮中，手工技艺如何独善其身？所谓的工匠精神和死磕态度，是否只能远离海量复制，高悬于神坛之上供人膜拜？如果工坊中的手工技艺要积极地面对数字技术的挑战，切入的痛点到底在哪里，是创造性的材料研究，还是艺术家式的工作方式？
上述的一系列思考，促成了一个在DA+空间的小型展览的举办。这个展览以德默营造近期完成的五个建筑项目，在“手（作）和工（艺）”的主题下呈现了对相关问题的特殊思考和解决方案。

God should be a craftsman in the eyes of Plato! Before the beginning of construction, the handmade sketches and models are created, in order to simulate the understandable geometrical ‘Form’ in the head. After the handcraft hardly survived in the industrial wave, couldn’t it win the nirvana of phoenix during the digital era again? How could the currant craftsmanship deal with the digital fabrication’s tendency flexibly? Could the craftsman’s spirit and stubborn only ascend divine altar instead of escaping from the mass production? If the craftsmanship must face the challenge of the new digital technologies positively, which way actually would aim at the pain spot from all of the effort, the creative physical experiment or the artistic working approach?
Based on the abovementioned thinking, we select five finished projects from our recent works. This two-months-long works show has the main theme of “Hand/Fabrication” , and hopefully will present our particular viewpoints and potential solution on it.
